Hey ya'll I am trying to post some pictures but it's not working. I will keep trying.

So yesterday I was out in the barn with the horses. Regal had his head over the gate
and we collided when I raised up from bending over. I do not feel like Regal, was being aggressive. He apparently did nip me in the lip. So there is a nice little chunk missing out my lip. I had to go to the emergency room and get 3 stiches and a tetnus shot and the Doc put me on atibiotics in case of an infection. So I have a very fat lip thats the bad part the good part is i don't have to go to co-op today.

I finally got my costume yesterday to.

My Trip

I’m back. I had a very busy weekend in Arkansas. It started Saturday morning for me about 4:30am. I got up, got dressed, collected all my stuff that I needed to take, loaded the horse in the trailer, drove over to my friends' house, unloaded all my stuff into their truck and trailer and began our journey at 5:40am. We were about halfway to Pine Bluff when we felt something jerk the trailer. We pulled off the highway and discovered we had a blowout. Then Cash discovered that somebody had left the keys to the spare tire and the tack compartment at the house. So he had to beat the lock off the spare tire. Then we got back on the road hoping to make it before 12:00. We were supposed to be at the Team Penning arena around ten or eleven, but we found out that the Team Penning arena was about thirty miles away from the main arena. We got there at 12:00. Found some bolt cutters and cut of the lock to the tack room. We saddled and started warming up our horses .

Then we went in for our first round of team penning. It was so fun . Our team did very well the first round. We had 2 teams. The team I was on was all girls: Chloe, Claire and myself. Then the other team was Cash, Clayton and Claire. It was really fun going up against my friends. Then we did second go -around and we did very well that time too, but the boys beat us by 2 seconds. We came in second place and the boys came in first. Then we unsaddled, loaded up, and headed to the Reining. I thought we were just going to watch, but learned that I was going to do it. It was pattern 7 which I did not know at all. I had never even done reining before in my life. However, I had been practicing the maneuvers. I was eleventh in line. Cash was fourth in line, then Clair was 6th , Clayton was 9th and I was eleventh. Cash had a really beautiful ride. Then it was finally my turn. I walked up to the gate, spurred him into a lope, ran down the arena, did my roll back, ran down to the other end, did another roll back, loped to the center of the arena, slid to a stop, backed up to the center cone, did 4 spins to the right and 5 spins to the left. (That just stinks, I was only supposed to do 4 ¼ spins to the left.) I knew I overspun when I did it, but O well, anyway I won’t bore you with any more detail about the pattern, except when I was on my last run down/ stop, I looked down at the ground and saw a wad of money laying of the ground. I thought, O look, there's some money on the ground . Hey! There was money back there. I had a lot of fun. It was so exciting and I can’t wait for next time. O, this show was a qualifier to go to AQHYA World Show in Fort Worth.

P.S. About the money in the arena . Well, as I exited the arena, I passed my friend Clayton who was riding after me. I said, "Hey, Clayton, on the right side of the arena right by the center cone, there is a wad of money."He said," I’ll pick it up." When he was doing his fast and large circle, he saw the money and flipped off his hat not a foot away. Right after his run down, he got off his horse and picked up his hat and money. It was a pretty big wad of money. When he rode out of the arena, he said, "I earned 2 bucks out of that ride." Then we rode back to the trailer, unsaddled, loaded the horses, got in the truck at about 8:30pm and started our five hour ride home. At about midnight, we stopped and ate at Denny’s because we were all starving and then commenced on the rest of our journey arriving back at my friends house at 3:00am dog tired.
Well I have got to go and get a little rest .
See ya.

It looks like I am going to Arkansas next weekend. My friends, the Bridges, called and invited me to go with them to an AQHA horse show and do team penning. It’s also a qualifying show to the AQHA World show. I am really excited about this, but I am disappointed not to get go to your sleep over, Courtney. I will see you Tuesday

Well, I had a really great time learning folk dances today. We got home about 4:00 this afternoon. I went out and rode regal he did really well. I am getting ready for my first horse show of the season, April 1st. I am not doing much this weekend. It’s going to be pretty quiet. I am going to get up in the morning and ride and then we’re going to Kilgore.

It’s been a long time since I last posted. I have been quite busy. Last week I went over to my friends the Bridges house and rode horses with them. Its always more fun when riding with friends. Then I came home and had to work extra hard to get all my co-op school done before the next day. After co-op we went to the park and played football, what a blast. The weekend was a very relaxed one. I played Command and Conquer Generals a lot and cleaned stalls, groomed horses and just played around. I needed to disk the arena but it is still to wet so that is going to put me behind on my riding schedule. O well. Mom and myself go to pick up my sister in Dallas Wednesday. Can’t wait.
I am so random today. See you all at debate Friday.

Past Memories

I decided to tell about the time my cousins and a friend plus myself where 4 wheeler riding (mudding) in our favorite mud hole. Anyway was had gone through this one particular place in the pasture a bazillion times and was going back through it. I was driving the powerful orange 4wheeler with 2 other girls on the back that where screaming their heads off and I had just slowed down when we became bogged down. So the other girls got of and started attempting to push from the back while I gave it a little gas. No luck it would not budge. Then I got off to help and we all started sinking, we where up to the top of the rubber boots when the boy’s came to rescue us. But before rescuing us Christopher, my cousin decided to rain mud down on us helpless girls by going really fast past us spraying mud all over us. Then they came to save us. Josh helped pull my cousin Cara out of the mud, in doing so she came unstuck but her boot did not, one boot on, one boot off, she climbed up on the 4wheeler. While Josh was helping Cara, Christopher helped me out, then we went to help Ashley, our friend from Missouri. We pulled her out of the mud but as she was walking toward to the 4 wheeler she tripped and fell face first in the mud covering herself from head to toe.
My Aunt had stated quiet plainly not to go in the house if we had any mud on us. Of course we were covered in mud it was in our hair, our shoes, it covered our clothing and it stunk like cow mess and it was pretty cold. So we commenced haggling with our other cousin Eric who had not gone with us, to go in and get us all a change of clothes. Of course he wanted to know what he would get out of it but we told him that if he didn’t it would be pain of death, which convinced him. While he was getting the clothes I ran home and got us a change. When I can back Eric had just gotten out of the house with the others clothing. We could not go in the house to change so the boys changed in the well house which is 4ft by 4ft with a water pump in the middle and the girls changed in a little chicken coup behind the house, it was quite hilarious. My uncle had said if we wanted to keep riding his four-wheelers we had to wash them so we did. The we said good bye to Ashley. As they were pulling out of the drive way my Uncle said ya’ll want to go riding again, back to the mud, Christopher and myself were the first to the four- wheelers.

Caleb said "make sure that you tell them I was in the house with the sane people while you were gettin dirty."

I"M BACK

I 'm free, free, free yahoo! Well I am back. I tried posting last night but the internet connection kept disconnecting and I finally just decided to play Generals in stead. I thought this was going to be one of those saturdays when I could sleep till eleven but I got woken up at nine because my mom had a head ache and I needed to get started on washing clothes and the horses were kicking so loud I could hear it in the house.

Well I have to get started on that washing I spoke of.

My new horse Forest
Today was a pretty good day. Shelby and myself sat with my great grandmother this morning then we came back to the house. We listened to my music, sang really loud and acted really goofy. Then of course I had to take care of all of my chores outside, cleaning all the stalls, watering, putting hay in all the stalls and then I rode Regal. Then I went in the house and made fudge which I don’t think turned out very good.
Anyways its been a good day.

I took the test on Evan’s blog. I was the Outlaw. I enjoyed it.

We had quite a busy weekend my brother and my nieces were up so there was a lot of noise.

We went to church yesterday and we were in the middle of our song service when I heard something that sounded like thunder, then I saw something that looked like snow falling. I said to Josh its snowing which I think was actually ash. Then the second and third explosion went off and it was really smoky outside. Mom stopped playing the piano in the middle of the song and all the men ran outside. . Anyway it turned out that a tree limb had fallen on power lines, right down the road from our church, starting a grass fire, blowing a couple of transformers and maybe some tires up. The church service was delayed for about 20 minutes or so. It’s not every day you go to church and there’s a small explosion.
That’s all the excitement that I have had lately.

Ok, so I am totally wrapped up in writing the speech for speech class. Mom thinks it still needs a lot of work but I have to move on to my other school, I have a biology test , I need also to work on my Frankenstein paper for worldview and what ever else.

Wednesday, January 11, 2006

Well I don't want to bore you. Today I really don't feel like I got much acomplished in school but I did ride both horses in the arena and I think Regal is doing much better in western pleasure mode. Regal is my 2 year old. O and I did sort of work towards the speech we have to do in speech class Friday.

Bye

Tuesday, January 10, 2006

Well my Tuesday started just like every other Tuesday. I got up late. Then fed the horses and moved them to their pens and pastures. Then I started school, biology, worldview and algebra then we left for co-op class where I take biology, worldview and speech. In worldview we are studying the worldview of Mary Shelley and her book Frankenstein which I totally dislike. I had to also decided what kind of speech I wanted to do. I decided to give a speech with method demonstration I can’t really describe it. Anyways Friday I have to write a 5 paragraph essay in class on the worldview of Mary Shelley. I am not looking forward to it. So on and so forth.
I have bored you long enough.

Have you ever seen a horse do something funny and then wonder what it meant. I have an example. My new gelding Forest was running around the round pen bucking and tossing his head and just letting it go. Anyways my coach said to me Forest is saying “I’M A MAN”. I thought that was so funny and after she said that I was watching him it really looked like that was what he was saying.
Well I need to go.

My Busy Week

I have been especially busy this week. In one week I have seen three medical procedures, the first one was on a cow, it was a sea section. The second one was a castration on my horse and the third wasn’t really a medical procedure. The vet had to pull a calf. The 2 cows are doing very well. My gelding is also doing fine. I hope to have my gelding prepared to show in the district 4h horse show. In a halter and lunge line class.
